Detailed French Wine Map AOC AOP

This exquisitely and passionately hand drawn and detailed French wine map beautifully exhibits the 14 wine producing regions of the AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée): Champagne, Burgundy, Loire Valley, Bordeaux, Rhône Valley, Alsace, South-West, Languedoc-Roussillon, Savoie-Bugey, Jura, Corsica, Provence and Lorraine.

Adding more rich context are the viticulture regions (Médoc vineyard, Côte Chalonnaise vineyard, Montagne de Reims vineyard, Savoie vineyard, etc.). With even more detail are the names of many towns which recall the wines produced in these regions. This is the case of Saumur, Sancerre, Mâcon, Gaillac… Contributing to the authenticity of details are the shapes of the wine bottles according to the production regions (Bordelaise, Flûte d'Alsace, Bourguignonne, etc.) 

This Detailed French Wine Map AOC AOP was drawn the old-fashioned way. It is crafted from four-color offset presses, produced by a Breton printing company. Moreover, the printing uses beautiful inks, on quality thick matte paper. A gorgeous map to display for wine collectors, wine educators, wine enthusiasts, wine oenologists, sommeliers, wine merchants and global travelers, or for your own home decor. Winegrowers use it to present their wines and wine merchants in their oenology courses!

Included on the map are numerous French geography details to help you travel past the course of the rivers, as well as its cities, lakes, islands, and maritime bays adding a rich topographical flavor of France overall.

This wine map was created in vintage style, inspired by the design of old French school maps, a reference to the Deyrolles or Vidal-Lablache educational maps that were found in French primary schools in the previous century.
