Macaron de Nice macarons, a 100% artisanal Provençal delicacy!

Macaron de Nice offers an authentic macaron made of French Provençal ingredients, highlighting the local flavors from the South of France.

You will appreciate the rich taste of almond that forms the base of the macarons, while being delighted by the awakening of flavors provided by touches of Provence: lemons from Menton, oranges from the hills of Nice, violets from Tourrettes-sur-Loup, and green anise seeds from the Mediterranean.

It was Catherine de' Medici who imported macarons from Italy on the occasion of her marriage to the Duke of Orléans, the future Henry II and King of France during the Middle Ages. It was a simple biscuit, and it is in homage to this tradition that the Macaron de Nice macaron was created. It was François Ducroux, the master pastry chef of Pâtisserie Le Vanillier in Nice, who had the idea to create this new specialty by combining this traditional almond biscuit with regional flavors like violet, anise and citrus fruits such as orange and lemon. A true delicacy from the South of France!

Each box contains an assortment of fifteen macarons, with 5 different flavors: almond, violet, anise, orange and lemon.

Ingredients

Ingredients: sugar, almonds, egg whites, crystallized violet, orange & lemon zests, green anise, natural flavors and colors.

The macarons are gluten-free, lactose-free and without any preservatives. CONTAINS NUTS.
