Toit de Paris ("Rooftops of Paris") recycles zinc slates from renovated Parisian Haussmann rooftops to create a truly unique Map of Paris, an authentic and enduring French souvenir. As 80% of the roofs of Parisian buildings have been constructed using zinc since the mid-1800s, and must be replaced every 50 years, there is a continual supply of original material for their artwork. The artists, mother and daughter team Béatrice and Constance, screenprint the Map of Paris in their workshop, designing with a passion for creating an impressionable piece of Paris that has true historical provenance. Constance forged the idea and inspiration for a genuine and iconic souvenir of Paris after being given an original piece of the Berlin Wall as a child.
Embodying a seamless blend of tradition, innovation, and environmental responsibility, all Toit de Paris products are made locally in Paris and Neuilly-sur-Seine, ensuring sustainability while supporting local craftsmanship. Combining artisanal techniques with modern design, the offerings of Toit de Paris include architectural souvenirs and decor items that reflect a unique aspect of the Paris historical, art, and cultural heritage landscape.
