Maison Piganiol is one of France’s oldest umbrella manufacturing houses, dating back to 1884. For five generations, the tradition and artisan skill have continued, crafting Maison Piganiol's magnificent parapluies with continuous care and attention.

Founded in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France, these world-renowned umbrellas are still produced in the same manufacturing plant in the town of Aurillac. The classic Berger umbrella, also called the “shepherd's umbrella,” continues today with the long lineage of skills and techniques used for modern-day production.

Committed to the rich history of French traditional umbrella craftsmanship, Maison Piganiol was distinguished by the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Employment by receiving the Living Heritage Company label in 2009.
